To gain a more holistic view of the public understanding of mental wellbeing, public perception of mental illnesses and the current institutional approaches towards mental health in Hong Kong, we started our self-initiated research in September 2019.

Since then, we have been interviewing various stakeholders, including social workers, psychiatrists, family physicians, local mental health NGOs and recovered mental health patients. This documentary compiles the responses of these specific stakeholders.

We are very honoured to have interviewed Dr. Phyllis Kwok-ling Chan, who is the Chief of Service in the Department of Psychiatry at Queen Mary Hospital and Consultant Psychiatrist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Family Physicians and Mental Health

It was an honor to have interviewed Dr Lam Wing Wo, who is a family physician and a marriage and family therapist. In this video, Dr Lam explained the role of family physicians in the mental health support structure, as well as giving suggestions on how individuals can improve their own mental wellbeing and promote mental health.
